and all the king's robots and all the king's men.

(currently listening to: shove it by santigold)
Oh, heart break. It affects us all, and we all deal differently. Some turn to alcohol, others turn to friends, some just shake it off, and some pick up new hobbies! I'm one of those. :)

I've sort of been on this emotional roller coaster lately, and I've been trying to channel the emotion into something positive rather than negative or potentially harmful. Any time (like tonight) I start to think too much about things that upset me, I make something! I've sewn pillows, learned to crochet, and painted countless lighthearted pictures. Oh! And my apartment is constantly spotless because if my hands aren't busy, my mind is. I also recently signed up for a dance class. I know that dancing is something that will ALWAYS fulfill a void of any kind, so I figured it was the ultimate solution. My first class is tomorrow evening!

Here is what I painted tonight!

perfect combination! paints, computer, popcorn, and cellular.

My interpretation of the photo is that it's the background for the humpty dumpty story. You see, everyone thinks humpty dumpty clumsily fell off the wall. In reality, he broke this poor heart, so the heart had to get revenge and pushed humpty dumpty off the wall! The painting is an image of the aftermath from the incident, and the robot is trying to help the situation by offering a bandage. :) Aren't you glad you know the true story?

See, I'm feeling better already.

Tomorrow I'll let you all know how dance class went!

Big love,

  1. I think my next big project is to make a slip cover for that ugly (but cute) blue couch!
