mullets and perms.

(currently listening to: maps by yeah yeah yeahs)

Hey lovers and friends,

What's the first thing that pops into your mind when you hear things like "mullet" or "perm"?

Probably something terrible like this...

mullet

perm
Now, like an etch a sketch, erase those images from your mind and listen here. Modern day fashion is changing the way people feel about the words "mullet" and "perm". My interpretation of the mullet is that it's super textured up top, long and sleek on the bottom. It has a ton of volume and looks super hott when done right.

As far as the perm goes, people automatically connect "perm" with "damaged hair". It doesn't have to be that way! Perm solutions are made to match whatever type of hair you have. If you have color-treated hair, there is a perm solution for that. If your hair is healthy and "virgin" as we call it, there is a perm solution for that! I'm not promising that if you have bleach blonde hair you can get a nice body wave and your hair not break off, but what I am saying is this: perms make your hair easier to style, they add bounce and fun and texture. It's easier to straighten curly hair than it is to curl flat hair. So, if you've ever secretly wanted a perm, but have been hesitant due to the bad connotations and common misconception that your hair is all going to break off... forget it! Go get that perm!

There you have it. Now on to part two of my super long blog. I have to let stuff off mi corazon! Where there is heart break there will be creativity, and I believe that chaos brings the best inspiration. Hence all my painting, sewing, dancing, blogging, and hair-doing. Here's what I did at school today!
