Hello, everyone! Thanks for tuning in to my first blog entry.
Before I say anything I must must acknowledge my friend Melissa for inspiring me to start my own blog. She is one of the most talented and creative people I have ever had the privilege of meeting! I figured starting a blog of my own would be a wonderful way to express my own ideas and creativity, and hopefully inspire others the way Mel inspires me. I love that lady, she is just so great!
Anyway dears, I would like to give some background here. I'm two months away from finishing beauty school and I am so ready to be done! However, I just want to do everything. I want to cut hair, I want to tap dance, I want to paint, I want to sew, I want to manage a salon, I want to open a dance studio, I want to underwater basket weave! I was always told I could do anything I set my mind to. That's easier said than done, because I can't figure out what I want to set my mind to. It's like I can't get through one thing before I start planning the next.
I suppose the practical thing to do would be to finish beauty school, get a salon job, work extra hard, don't lose sight of my passion, and see where the wind blows me from there.
In the mean time, salon fair at school is coming up! It's sort of a job fair for us. We get to do a make over on a model and show case our talent to local salons. I'm pretty excited, but I also feel so unprepared! I'm still working on writing my resume and figuring out exactly what hair style I want to do. Our themes are through the ages and fantasy. My mind is cooking up some ideas, but nothing is really set yet, and the event is less than a week away! I will post pictures of what I end up doing, but in the mean time I have a ton of things to work on. Guess I better get to it!
lovelove to all!
